Bikes and Repair / Reuse.

This includes repairing, restoring, or repurposing bicycles. It also includes fabricating bike trailers. It embraces educating people about bicycle repair, to empower them to fix their own bikes. The purpose is to get bikes and bike support to those who need them. We hope that this matures into an ongoing and effective mission for our church, aligned with our church to support poor, marginalized, indigenous, LGBTQ+ and neuro divergent people in a safe and welcoming community.

Bikes and Shop Operations.

This includes tools, stands, workbench, tables, chairs, parts, drop cloths so we don't get the floor all greasy, coffee, snacks, boom box and tunes, banner with our logo on it, outreach, encouragement, stickers, donations, finances.

Bikes and Community.

Connect with other bicycle organizations, and to identify and help our intended clients. We partner with Phoenix Spokes People, and Valley Metro. Our hope is blissful mutual beneficial connection and support.

Bikes and Spirit.

The purpose is to explore the intersection between bikes and spirit. We can live into this and see where it leads. To get us started, we propose a bike blessing: may you feel safe, may you be healthy, may you ride happy.

Bikes and Stories.

We may sit around, drink coffee and tell bike stories. Where did you get your first bike? Who gave it to you? What’s the origin story? How can bicycles help people? How can they teach or empower people? What stories about bicycles should we hold onto? What bike stories relate to and support our other intersectional subprojects? What can be accomplished on a bicycle, and how can sharing those stories encourage and empower others? Let’s go!

Bikes and Decorations.

During Halloween, or Christmas, or Pride, or all of the above, to decorate bikes.

Join us on October 20th for our first bike decorating event Boocycles!

Bikes and Rides.

Join us for our first bike ride in the Pride Parade. We will ride with First Church UCC in the Pride Parade on October 20!
